He also choose Oghalai (عقلائي ) as a family name which means "person making intelligent decisions ". He chose this last name to honor his father who had been known for making wise decisions as a mullah. The first person with the Oghalai (عقلائي)last name who traveled out of Iran and came to UhSA was me, Rahim Oghalai (رحيم عقلائي ). I arrived in New York City on April 10, 1961 to attend graduate school.
