Meaning of this name is unknown.
Guy Consterdine says: Here is my understanding of the origin of the name Consterdine. In 16th century France the Catholic majority persecuted and massacred the Huguenot Protestants from time to time, causing thousands to flee to England. One came to the village of Blackley, near Manchester in Lancashire, England, and anglicised his name to Consterdine. This information was suggested by parish records in Manchester diocese. However the origin of the original Consterdine is not certain: another theory is that he was an Arab with the first name Rauffe. It is however almost certain that Blackley is where the first Consterdines settled. Even today, among the 400 or so Consterdines living in England, there is a concentration in the Greater Manchester area.
