Igwegbe Lawrence says: The name of Igwegbes grand father is Egbe whilst the name of his father is Odum. Odum was born and originated in Awka present day Anambra state. On attaining manhood, he relocated to Arondizuogu present day IMO state, as was the custom then, to be accepted into a new town one had to attach and serve a prominent man of the village or town. Odum attached with and served Okereke Udozuka of Ndiakunwanta for seven years and gained his right to live in Arondizuogu and would have been a native of ndiakunwanta but on learning that another Awka man, Akanihu Aniche had served chief Aniche direct son of Eze Iheme, he opted to serve chief Akanihu for yet another seven years to enable him live with his brother Akanihu and that is why till today the Odums are of Ndianich uno village in Arondizuogu. If anyone is familia with ancient Igbo history you would know that all Igbos be they in South East Nigeria or South South Nigeria originated from NRI in Anambra state that happened in line with what Odum of Awka did to settle in Arondizuogu.
Igwegbe Lawrence says: Eze Igwegbe Odum was famed to have married close to fifty wives most of them princesses of various kingdoms in Igbo Land and daughters of powerful chiefs and business men. In early 1941, Eze Igwegbe Odum called his children who were around and visiting friends and in their presence unbelivably drew out a 6inch nail burried in his brain and announced to them that his time was up! The children who were around panicked but he carmed them down that he still had 90 days to put his house in order before going to the great beyond! He died exactly 90 days after and his funeral took exactly two year; from 1941-1943!
