Meaning of this name is unknown.

Peter J Klotunowitch Jr says: I believe that my last name also has this origin. I was told it was from Ukraine, perhaps confused and should be Polish. My Father, Peter Sr., his Father Peter Klotunowitch (no middle name ), was adopted by his stepfather Frank Koltunowitch. The U.S Army changed my Grandfathers name during WWII, that is how it was kept after the war and thus to me. I do not know much about Frank, but perhaps someone doing some research can add this branch to our family tree. I currently live in Colorado, but was born and raised in central Pennsylvania, USA (1970).
