Manuel Represa says: This lineage and name, clearly Old Castilian, had very old house in the village of Madrigal de las Altas Torres, (Arévalo) in the province of Ávila (Spain). Represa family has in that town the patronage of a chapel of the church of San Nicolas de Bari, where Queen Dona Isabel "the Catholic" was christened. In that chapel has been held for two centuries, and continues to be celebrated in the last days of December, a party in commemoration of the old patronage, and in loving memory of a legendary feat that gave the surname Represa reason.
