Meaning of this name is unknown.

RIACHI says: Riachi is a family name very frequent in LEBANON. The Riachis in Lebanon are Melkite Chritians who settled in the 16th century in the village of Khenchara in Mount Lebanon. Some of the family branches moved to the nearby Bekaa Valley in the towns of Zahle and Kaa el Rim. Originally, before they moved to Lebanon, the Riachi were established in the village of ezra in the Syrian Huran district. There are believed to be part of the Ghassanide Tribe, a Christian-Arab tribe allied to the Byzantine empire who fought the Islamic invasion of Syria in the 7th century.
Tony Riachi says: The family origins is the city of riacce in the province of Calabria in Italy. Members of this coastal city went to the Jerusalem as part of the second crusaders and settled around Jerusalem and later scattered throughout the Middle East primarily in Huran, Syria and Yemen prior to moving back west to Lebanon.
