Meaning of this name is unknown.

Minna Vahala says: There have been several ice ages in Nordic countries. The last ice age has ended about 10 000 years ago. Ice ages have in many ways shaped by our environment. Although the ice age there is no one living today people have not seen, there is signs of the Ice Age plenty to see. Ice ages have begun suddenly, as was described in a recently published movie. Climate slowly the sun bites is no longer capable of melting snow in the spring off, but the snow remained on top of and next winter rain fresh snow. Thus little by little for decades and within -hundreds ice masses grew up to two kilometers thick. When the ice masses moved, they perfected the cliffs and took apart some big and some small pieces of rock. Ice drifted with the gigantic stones or boulders what the strangest places. Boulders are the stones that often seem like they have fallen from heaven. Those stones are in Finland VAHALA. In Finland is near Rauma city, village named Vahala, where is a big stone like that. The ice also perfected some big bumps in the rocks. Now, these pits are water-drenched ponds and lakes. (users.edu.turku.fi)
